Kids Ministry on Sundays
We love kids.
Kids in Second Grade and up alternate weeks with class and worshipping with us in the theater. We love this for many reasons, but most importantly because the kids in our community show us so much of what it's like to approach God honestly. And their comments during the sermons are (trust us) priceless.
For those First Grade and under we offer fun and meaningful kids programming during the worship service. We keep the kid-to-volunteer ratios very low because we want each child to be seen and known in a safe environment. All of our volunteers go through Genesis Kids training and a background check. We use a computerized check-in system for added safety and accountability.
Child Baptism & Child Dedication
At Genesis we believe God is cultivating new beginnings in all of us, everywhere. One of these new beginnings happens when God gifts us with children. We believe God is always loving and choosing us, and that we’re free to love and choose God. As a faith community we’d like to invite your family into the celebration of child baptism or child dedication. These celebrations are for everyone - the child being celebrated and the parents and community that are choosing to love God and encourage that love in our children.
Our denomination, the Evangelical Covenant Church, affirms the reality of freedom in Christ and has, with much intention, chosen to make both child baptism and dedication a part of how we celebrate life in community. As a parent the choice between baptism and dedication is yours to make. We celebrate child baptisms and child dedications about once a month.
If you would like to sign-up for your child to be baptized or dedicated, please complete this form.
