Groups

There are many ways to be in relationship with other people. Sometimes that looks like being in casual settings with people, laughing, eating good food and playing together. If that’s what you’re looking for, scroll through the Community Group options below. For others, being in relationship means finding a safe place designed for very intentional, deep (and sometimes hard) conversations - having some safe witnesses to your journey, your struggles, your story. A Tiny Group consists of no less than three but no more than four people and meets at least once each month. Meetings are guided by a specific form of questions and timing and are designed around an intense personal commitment of each member to the group. Be prepared to be vulnerable, to talk about your current difficulties honestly. Groups are designed to be a safe space to share and grow together in depth and vulnerability.

Tiny Groups will be overseen by community members Chad and Rebecca Knotz. These types of small, safe community spaces are a deep passion of theirs and they are excited to help foster these groups at Genesis. They will provide a packet of information to groups as they get started and will be available to communicate with along the way as groups have questions or concerns.

In order to start a Tiny Group, you could ask two or three people you already know to start a tiny group together, or you can simply state your desire to be in one and we’ll find some people to form a tiny group with you.

Community Groups are designed for people who want to build relationships with others in a medium-sized group (10-20) in a more casual, relaxed setting. Please email us if we can help you get connected with one of them.
