Why in the world would anyone want to be a member of a church? What's the point? Great question. Since Genesis West is congregational in our polity, membership isn't a benefit, it's a responsibility to serve the congregation.
At Genesis West, we welcome anyone who affirms faith in Jesus to be a member. There are just two steps in the process of being received as a member.
Attend a membership class.
Fill out the online application; the elders will review your application and get back to you.
Members commit to participation in the life of Genesis West through:
Living as an apprentice of Jesus;
Attendance, sacrificial giving of talent and resources, and praying for the vision of Genesis and its leaders;
Praying for the vision of Genesis West and for its leaders.
